The incident took place in the 7-D area of Surjani Town where a mother and her three children were allegedly brutally killed inside their house. Police have launched an investigation and are examining the case from several different angles to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

A young girl who was critically injured in the incident was also being treated at Jinnah Hospital in Karachi. However, she later succumbed to her injuries during treatment according to officials.
