KARACHI: Baloch Colony Police have arrested a man accused of allegedly subjecting his own daughters to immoral activities, while an incident involving a YouTuber slapping the suspect at court premises has also drawn attention.

According to police sources, the arrest was made following a tip-off about the alleged abuse. Acting on the information, a police team conducted a raid in the area and took the suspect into custody for investigation.

FIR Registered and Victims Provided Protection

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered at Baloch Colony Police Station on the complaint of the informer and affected family. The FIR includes relevant legal provisions concerning alleged immoral activities, harassment and child protection.

Following the registration of the case, the accused was arrested and transferred to the police station for questioning. Officials said the victims had been shifted for necessary medical and psychological assistance, while their statements were being recorded in accordance with legal procedures.

Authorities have also taken steps to protect the identities of the minor victims, stressing that their personal information must remain confidential throughout the investigation.

A police spokesperson at Baloch Colony Police Station said investigators were examining the case on merit and collecting forensic and circumstantial evidence to establish the facts surrounding the allegations.

The spokesperson added that all necessary legal procedures would be followed to ensure a transparent and impartial investigation.

Court Grants Physical Remand

After completing the initial interrogation, police produced the accused before the relevant court and requested physical remand to conduct further investigation.

Officials informed the court that additional custody was required to question the suspect, examine the available evidence and investigate other aspects of the case.

After considering the police request, the court granted physical remand and handed over the accused to investigators for further questioning.

YouTuber Slaps Accused at Court Premises

Meanwhile, an incident outside the courtroom attracted attention when a YouTuber allegedly slapped the accused in the presence of police personnel during his court appearance.

A video circulating on social media reportedly shows police officers holding the suspect while another individual approaches and physically assaults him.

The incident has raised questions about security arrangements at court premises and the responsibility of law enforcement personnel to protect individuals in custody.

Police officials condemned the incident, maintaining that nobody has the authority to take the law into their own hands, regardless of the seriousness of allegations against an accused person.

A senior police officer said that assaulting someone in police custody was unlawful and that appropriate action could be taken against individuals involved in such acts.

Legal experts have also emphasised that public anger over serious allegations cannot justify physical violence against an accused person. They maintain that investigation and punishment must remain within the framework of the law and judicial process.
