KARACHI: A significant development has emerged in the case related to the alleged facilitation of suspected drug dealer Anmol, also known as Pinky, as police informed a local court about the arrest of a female suspect linked to the investigation.

The case came up for hearing before a Judicial Magistrate South in Karachi, where police also produced two accused individuals, identified as Aqib and Ghulam Mustafa. The suspects are facing legal proceedings in connection with separate cases registered at Boat Basin and Garden police stations.

The latest development follows earlier proceedings held on June 20, when the same court directed investigators to submit final charge sheets in two cases involving Anmol alias Pinky after the observance of Muharram. At that hearing, police were unable to present the final investigation reports, prompting the court to grant additional time.

The court had also reserved its decision on applications seeking the removal of certain co-accused from the narcotics case as well as requests related to obtaining call record data. Those matters remain pending and are expected to be decided in upcoming hearings.

According to case records, authorities have been investigating multiple allegations linked to the suspected drug network. The ongoing inquiry is focused on identifying individuals allegedly involved in facilitating, supporting, or maintaining connections with the primary suspect.
