SWAT: A tragic road accident in the Charbagh area of Swat claimed the lives of two laborers after a speeding flying coach ran over workers sitting on a footpath, Rescue 1122 officials confirmed on Monday.

According to rescue authorities, the accident also left two other individuals seriously injured. The injured and the bodies of the deceased were immediately shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital for medical and legal formalities.

Officials said the victims were sitting along the roadside when the fast-moving passenger coach lost control and struck them. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in fatalities on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Bilal and Ibrahim, both of whom were laborers working in the area. Rescue teams responded quickly to the scene and provided emergency assistance before transporting the victims to the hospital.

Local police have begun an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities are examining whether over speeding, negligence, or mechanical failure contributed to the crash.

Road accidents involving passenger coaches and public transport vehicles remain a recurring concern in several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in hilly and densely populated areas where narrow roads and high traffic volume increase the risk of collisions.
