Sheikhupura police have registered a case against a man accused of attacking actress Shama Naz during a theatre performance.

According to police, the incident occurred while the actress was performing on stage. The suspect allegedly entered the stage without permission and assaulted her in front of the audience.

In her statement to police, Shama Naz said a young man forcibly came onto the stage during the drama and started behaving aggressively.

She said her driver attempted to protect her and stop the attack. However, the suspect allegedly slapped the driver as well.

The actress told police that the accused made an inappropriate demand during the performance. She said she refused, after which the suspect became angry and attacked her.

Police identified the suspect as Raja Zain and registered a case at City A Division Police Station.

Authorities have started efforts to arrest the accused and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police officials said further action would be taken after the suspect’s arrest and completion of the investigation.
