During his detention at the SP Investigation office, police employee Imran allegedly opened fire on Mishal, killing him. Imran is reportedly serving as a reader at the office of the DSP Traffic.

The shooting took place while police personnel were present at the office. Imran was arrested at the scene and taken into custody as authorities launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Mardan District Police Officer Masood Ahmed and other senior police officials reached the scene after receiving information about the incident. Three police personnel present at the location were suspended over alleged negligence and were reportedly placed in the quarter guard pending further proceedings.
