The operation was launched after security agencies received intelligence about the presence of armed militants in the area. During the raid, law enforcement personnel came under fire, leading to a gun battle in which all three suspects were killed.
According to the CTD, two of the deceased militants were identified as Hayat Khan, also known as Hayatullah, who was wanted in connection with the targeted killing of religious scholar Maulana Izzatullah, and Asim, who was allegedly involved in attacks targeting police officers and religious figures in Khyber District. Authorities are continuing efforts to confirm the identity of the third suspect.
Security officials recovered a cache of weapons from the site, including three Kalashnikov rifles, additional firearms, and hand grenades. Following the operation, security forces launched a search mission in nearby areas to locate any potential accomplices and ensure the area was fully secured.
