SUJAWAL: Noted political figure of Sujawal district and General Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party’s Cultural Wing of Hyderabad Division, Rab Dino Jat, was shot dead in an armed attack on Tuesday night. According to sources, Rab Dino was on his way to Thatta from his native village Budo Talpur of Sujawal district when reportedly two armed assailants intercepted his vehicle and sprayed bullets on him, leaving him critically injured.
Local residents rushed him to Civil Hospital Sujawal, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The news of the seasoned PPP worker and divisional office bearer spread like wildfire across the district, and a large number of party supporters from both areas thronged Civil Hospital Sujawal, while his kinsmen were seen wailing uncontrollably.
After medico-legal formalities, his body was transported to his native village for burial. Those party leaders who had reached the hospital included MPA of Pakistan People’s Party Muhammad Ali Malkani, Muhammad Hanif Memon, and Najeeb Sarvech, among others.
The initial autopsy report disclosed that the deceased had sustained bullets in his abdomen and died owing to excessive bleeding.
