Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party paid rich tribute to former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on her 73rd birth anniversary, praising her contributions to democracy, political stability, and women’s empowerment.

In a special message, Maryam Nawaz described Benazir Bhutto as a symbol of democracy and political stability. She said the late leader played a vital role in ensuring women’s participation in politics and set an enduring example through her courage and unwavering commitment to democratic values.

The Punjab chief minister added that Benazir Bhutto remains one of the most influential figures in Pakistan’s political history, whose legacy continues to inspire future generations.

Meanwhile, PPP Japan President Shahid Majeed also paid tribute to the former premier, highlighting her sacrifices for the restoration and survival of democracy and her struggle against dictatorship.

He said Benazir Bhutto not only made history as Pakistan’s former prime minister but also became the first woman to serve as prime minister in the Muslim world, bringing international recognition to the country.

Shahid Majeed noted that her vision for democratic governance, constitutional supremacy, human rights, and public welfare remains a guiding light for political workers and democratic forces. He reaffirmed PPP Japan’s commitment to promoting her mission and political philosophy across the world.
