Maryam Nawaz’s daughter Mahnoor to wed Saturday

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Mahnoor, is set to get married on Saturday in a private family ceremony, according to family sources.

The nikkah ceremony will reportedly take place at the Sharif family residence in Jati Umra, Lahore.

Sources said Mahnoor’s marriage has been arranged with a member of a prominent business family. The ceremony is expected to be attended by close relatives and other members of the extended family.

The Sharif family has so far kept details of the wedding private. No formal announcement has been made regarding a reception or other celebrations.

Mahnoor has generally stayed away from the public spotlight and rarely appears in the media.

The wedding comes days after Maryam Nawaz travelled to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony. The Punjab chief minister returned to Lahore on Wednesday.

Mahnoor’s upcoming marriage follows that of her brother, Junaid Safdar, who married Shanzeh Ali Rohale in January.

Junaid’s wedding was marked by several elaborate events, including a green-themed mehndi, a baraat and an outdoor valima held at the Sharif family’s Jati Umra estate.

In contrast, Mahnoor’s nikkah is expected to remain a low-key family gathering, with the family choosing to keep the occasion away from public attention.
