Maryam unveils seven more electric buses for Sargodha

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed members of the provincial assembly to closely oversee the implementation of development and public welfare projects in Sargodha.

She issued the directives during a meeting with Punjab Assembly members from Sargodha, who called on her in Lahore to discuss matters concerning the constituency and ongoing government initiatives.

The chief minister asked the lawmakers to regularly monitor the Model Village initiative, the Suthra Punjab cleanliness programme and projects aimed at providing residents with clean drinking water.

Maryam Nawaz stressed the need for effective implementation of public service schemes, directing elected representatives to remain in close contact with the relevant departments and ensure that projects deliver tangible benefits to citizens.

During the meeting, she also announced the provision of seven additional electric buses for Sargodha. The move is aimed at improving public transport facilities and providing residents with more accessible and modern commuting options.

The chief minister said the provincial government was utilising all available resources to facilitate the people and improve essential public services.

She emphasised that development projects should be monitored at the grassroots level so that implementation gaps could be identified and addressed promptly.

The meeting also focused on the continued improvement of civic facilities and the effective delivery of government programmes in Sargodha.
