MDCAT 2026 to be held across Sindh on September 20

KARACHI: The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 will be conducted across Sindh on September 20, SIBA Testing Services (STS) announced on Wednesday.

The examination will take place in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur and Islamabad.

In Karachi, candidates will appear at the NED University of Engineering and Technology and Dow University of Health Sciences’ Ojha Campus.

The Hyderabad examination centre will be located at Public School in Unit No 3, Latifabad, while candidates in Jamshoro will sit the test at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences.

In Mirpurkhas, the designated venue is Mir Sher Muhammad Talpur Public School. Larkana candidates will take the test at the Police Training School Ground on Wagon Road.

The centre for Shaheed Benazirabad has been established at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, while candidates in Sukkur will appear at IBA Public School on Old Airport Road.

Sindh residents who have relocated to Islamabad will be able to take the examination at the Pakistan National Council of Arts in Sector F-5/1.

STS said the MDCAT would have a duration of three hours and advised candidates to reach their respective centres according to the specified reporting time.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) had earlier postponed the examination from August 16 to September 20 following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The council said the change was aimed at ensuring the examination was conducted in a smooth, secure and transparent manner while facilitating candidates. It also clarified that other examination rules and arrangements would remain unchanged unless further notified.
