The match is expected to be held at La Bombonera, the iconic home stadium of Tevez’s former club Boca Juniors, according to Argentine media reports.

Tevez is reportedly planning to invite around 60 players and figures from throughout his career, with Messi and Ronaldo among the most high-profile names on the guest list.

Ronaldo and Tevez were teammates at Manchester United for two seasons after the Argentine joined the English club in 2007. Together, they won consecutive Premier League titles, the 2007-08 Champions League and the Club World Cup.

Tevez also shared the Argentina national team with Messi, with the pair featuring together in several World Cups and Copa America tournaments.

The prospect of Messi and Ronaldo appearing in the same match has generated particular interest among football fans, although it remains unclear whether either player will accept the invitation.

The farewell match is expected to take place in December 2026, with December 12-13 and December 19-20 among the dates reportedly under consideration.
