Instead of a wedding invitation, the family has issued a condolence and prayer card in memory of Mir Raza Ali Khan. The gathering will be held on the date originally scheduled for his wedding.
Mir Raza’s wedding ceremony had been planned for August 29, 2026. However, following the tragic incident that claimed his life, his grieving family has decided to mark the day with prayers for his forgiveness and a renewed call for justice.
The family has appealed to members of the public to attend the gathering and stand with them during their difficult time.
According to the programme announced in the invitation Shab-e-Raza will begin at 8:30pm. Recitation of the Holy Quran will take place at 9:30pm, followed by a Naat in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
A prayer for Mir Raza’s forgiveness will then be offered at 9:35pm.
At 10pm, family members and friends will share their thoughts and memories. The programme will conclude with a tribute to Mir Raza at 10:30pm during which his loved ones will recall memories associated with him.
The family’s decision to hold the gathering at the protest site gives the event both a religious and emotional significance, as the bereaved relatives continue to seek justice following his death.
The gathering is expected to bring together relatives, friends, supporters and members of the public who wish to offer prayers and express solidarity with the family.
For the family, August 29 was meant to be a day of celebration. Instead it will now be marked by prayers, remembrance and a demand for justice for the deceased businessman.
