The makers of Mirzapur: The Movie have introduced a fresh way for fans to interact with the franchise’s most iconic characters ahead of the film’s release in theatres. Through a newly launched initiative called the Mirzapur Hotline, the original cast members will personally respond to questions submitted by fans.

The move brings back several beloved faces from the Mirzapur universe, giving longtime followers of the show a chance to engage directly with the actors behind the characters they have grown attached to over the years. Pankaj Tripathi will once again step into the role of Kaleen Bhaiya, one of the franchise’s most memorable figures. Divyenndu returns as the volatile Munna Bhaiya, while Ali Fazal reprises his role as Guddu Pandit.

The cast list also includes Rasika Dugal, who returns as Beena Tripathi, alongside Abhishek Banerjee reprising his role as Compounder. Shweta Tripathi Sharma rounds out the group, returning once more as Golu.

What makes the hotline especially appealing to fans is that the actors will respond while staying fully in character. This approach is designed to recreate the same personalities, quirks, and attitudes that made these characters fan favourites throughout the show’s run, rather than having the actors simply speak as themselves.

The initiative arrives at a significant moment for the franchise, as Mirzapur: The Movie marks its transition from streaming platforms to the big screen. For the first time, audiences will get to experience the gritty world of Mirzapur and its characters in a full theatrical format, rather than through episodic streaming releases.

The film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Excel Entertainment. It is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, with the screenplay written by Puneet Krishna. On the production side, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are serving as producers, while Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani are attached as co-producers.
