November 26 protest: Warrants issued for Sohail Afridi and other PTI leaders

An Islamabad anti-terrorism court has once again issued arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in connection with the November 26 protest case.

An Islamabad anti-terrorism court has once again issued arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in connection with the November 26 protest case.

According to Minute Mirror News, the hearing of the case registered over the November 26 protest was held at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad. Judge Tahir Asif Supra presided over the proceedings.

During the hearing, the court directed police to submit the challan or formal charge sheet at the earliest. The court subsequently adjourned further proceedings until October 9.

The court also issued warrants for PTI leader Junaid Akbar along with Sohail Afridi and other individuals named in the case.

The case relates to the November 26 protest which is the subject of ongoing legal proceedings before the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court.
