RIYADH: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in cybersecurity and improve their ability to respond to emerging digital threats.

The agreement was signed in Riyadh by Pakistan’s Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima and Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority Governor Engineer Majed Al-Mazyed.

The MoU provides a framework for greater collaboration between the two countries in protecting their digital infrastructure and cyberspace.

Under the agreement, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will work together to address growing cybersecurity challenges. Both sides will focus on strengthening their capabilities to identify and respond to cyber threats.

The two countries will also facilitate the exchange of technical expertise and professional knowledge. This cooperation is expected to help both sides develop stronger mechanisms for dealing with increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.
