England defeated Pakistan by 194 runs at Lord’s, and the result was followed by a significant movement in the rankings. Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has slipped five places and is now ranked 15th among Test batters.

Babar endured a disappointing outing at Lord’s, scoring just eight runs in the first innings and six in the second. His poor performance contributed to his decline in the latest rankings and further highlighted Pakistan’s batting struggles.

There was, however, some positive news for Pakistan as Saud Shakeel made a major improvement. The left-handed batter climbed 15 places to reach 18th position in the Test batting rankings. His rise represents one of the biggest gains among Pakistan’s players.

Among the other Pakistani batters, Mohammad Rizwan dropped seven places to 33rd, while captain Shan Masood fell three places to 41st. Salman Ali Agha also slipped three positions and is now ranked 43rd.

Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha is currently ranked 25th among Test batters.

In the Test bowling rankings, Australia’s Mitchell Starc continues to hold the top position. New Zealand’s Matt Henry moved up one place to second strengthening his position among the world’s leading Test bowlers.

England’s Ollie Robinson was another major beneficiary in the latest rankings. He climbed six places to fifth position. Sri Lanka’s Asitha Fernando also made significant progress moving up four places to 11th.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas remains in 15th position among Test bowlers. England’s Josh Tongue who played a key role in the series, climbed four places to 13th.

England fast bowler Gus Atkinson, meanwhile suffered a major decline. He dropped 10 places and is now ranked 24th in the Test bowling rankings f. both teams following the Lord’s Test. While England’s players made notable gains, Pakistan will be hoping their key batters and bowlers can regain form and improve their rankings in the upcoming matches.
