The Foreign Office said representatives from the US and Iran will participate in the negotiations, along with mediators from Pakistan and Qatar.

It added that Pakistan will continue to facilitate the process in its role as mediator, aiming to move forward the understandings reached under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

The latest round of talks comes after Washington and Tehran signed an agreement earlier this month, which was mediated by Pakistan and aimed at reducing tensions and promoting regional stability.

According to the agreement, both sides had committed to continued engagement, with follow-up discussions planned to implement the framework deal.

Iranian state media reported that its negotiating team has already left for Switzerland to attend the talks, although officials in Tehran have warned that the agreement remains fragile.

Iranian foreign ministry officials said delays in implementation by the other side could put the understanding at risk.

On the US side, officials confirmed participation in the upcoming discussions, with senior American envoys expected to attend the Swiss meeting.

Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to playing a constructive role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides and supporting efforts to maintain peace in the region.
