Speaking to reporters, Noffke said Pakistan’s strategy was straightforward: play good Test cricket and concentrate on the aspects the team can control.

He emphasised the importance of discipline with both bat and ball saying Pakistan would need to bowl in the right areas, build long partnerships and maintain pressure on England for extended periods.

Noffke said the team had been monitoring the Birmingham pitch in recent days while also keeping an eye on the weather. He described the surface as promising and praised the ground staff for their work.

Pakistan are also considering how best to balance their bowling attack. Noffke said the squad contains players capable of performing different roles, giving the team several options depending on the conditions.

He highlighted young fast bowler Ubaid Shah as a valuable addition and also pointed to left-armer Imran Junior and right-armer Razaullah who offers a different bowling action and good pace.

Noffke also praised Abbas for his performances during the series and said the team needed to provide him with the necessary support.

Discussing Pakistan’s emerging fast bowlers, Noffke said several young pacers were approaching the 140-kilometre-per-hour mark but still needed experience in English conditions.

He stressed that exposing young players to challenging conditions was important for Pakistan’s long-term planning. According to Noffke bringing emerging fast bowlers into the team allows them to learn, develop and prepare for future international assignments.

The bowling coach was also asked whether Pakistan could field four fast bowlers in the third Test. He said the decision would be made after assessing the pitch and weather conditions.

Noffke confirmed that Pakistan have the option of selecting four seamers alongside a spinner who is capable of contributing with the bat.

Despite uncertainty surrounding the team following recent changes Noffke said he was impressed by the calm atmosphere within the Pakistan camp.

He said players had been given time for discussions and individual conversations and expressed confidence that they would perform to their ability.

With the series reaching its final Test Pakistan will now look to execute their plans with greater discipline and consistency as they prepare for the crucial contest in Birmingham.
