LAHORE: The Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) on Thursday announced the results of the first annual examinations 2026 for the Diploma of Associate Engineers (DAE), Diploma in Commerce (DCom), Diploma in Hotel Operations and Diploma in Special Education.

According to the results, 21,929 candidates appeared in the DAE examination, of whom 15,532 were declared successful, showing a pass percentage of 70.82. In DCom, 8,900 candidates appeared and 6,410 passed, with a pass percentage of 72.02.

In DAE, Najaf Ali of the Government College of Technology, Multan, secured the first position with 96 per cent marks. Muhammad Ammar Khan of the Government College of Technology, Bhakkar, stood second with 95.94pc, while Arzoo Shahid Bhatti of the Government College of Technology for Women, Sargodha, secured third position with 95.94pc.

In DCom, Eman Fatima of the Government Associate College of Commerce, Toba Tek Singh, secured first position with 1,195 marks out of 1,300. Syed Hussain Rizwan of Kinkodia College, Allahabad, stood second with 1,188 marks, while Misbah Parveen of the Government Associate College of Commerce, Mankera, secured third position with 1,174 marks.

PBTE Chairman Dr Faisal Mehmood formally announced the results by pressing a button at a ceremony attended by Board Secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Hafeez, Controller of Examinations Malik Irfan Qasim and other senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mehmood said PBTE diploma holders were contributing to the country’s foreign exchange earnings by securing employment in international markets, particularly in the Middle East.

He said the board would further improve its assessment system to enhance the competitiveness of Pakistani skilled workers in international job markets.

The chairman congratulated the successful candidates and appreciated the examination branches and Computer Section staff for preparing and publishing the results within a short period.
