The Pakistan Army has carried out a major reshuffle at the senior command level, with a number of Major Generals assigned new responsibilities in military intelligence, General Headquarters, field formations, Frontier Corps and other strategic organisations, according to military sources.

One of the most significant changes is the appointment of Major General Adil Waraich as Director General Military Intelligence (DG MI), according to multiple reports. The appointment places him at the head of one of the Army’s principal intelligence organisations, which deals with military intelligence and counter-intelligence responsibilities.

The reported changes also include several assignments within important intelligence and strategic directorates. Major General Sajid has been posted as Director General Z, while Major General Shamrez has been assigned as Director General S. Another reported change involves the Pakistan Coast Guards, with Major General Atif Rafique appointed as Director General of the organisation.
