LAHORE, June 11: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has reaffirmed that maintaining peace, promoting religious harmony, and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property during Muharram‑ul‑Haram will remain the foremost priorities of Lahore Police.

Chairing a performance review meeting of the Civil Lines and City Divisions at the Capital City Police Headquarters, the CCPO reviewed in detail the security arrangements for Muharram, the prevailing law and order situation, crime control measures, and the overall performance of the divisions.

He directed strict implementation of government‑prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Muharram security and ordered that search, sweep, and combing operations continue across the city to maintain a peaceful environment.

Kamyana also instructed an intensified crackdown against drug traffickers and individuals involved in social evils. Special teams comprising competent officers are to be formed to expedite the arrest of proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals.

Emphasizing the importance of effective investigations, the CCPO directed the Investigation Wing to ensure timely submission of challans in under‑investigation cases and to further improve the quality of investigations so offenders are brought to justice in accordance with the law.

Highlighting public service delivery, he stressed the need for resolving complaints received through the Complaint Management System within the stipulated timeframe and ensuring prompt relief to citizens.

The CCPO underscored that police officers must fully utilize their professional capabilities and perform their duties with dedication and commitment to contribute towards building a safe, peaceful, and law‑abiding society.

The meeting was attended by DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (Operations) Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, along with SPs, ASPs, Circle Officers, SHOs, and Investigation In‑Charges of the Civil Lines and City Divisions.
