The game carries an adults-only rating due to its graphic depictions of violence and realistic combat scenarios. Philippine authorities are now reviewing whether exposure to such content could have played a role in the tragic incident.

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Centre (CICC) announced the temporary ban as part of its ongoing investigation. According to CICC Undersecretary Alexander Ramos Paraiso, officials cannot dismiss the possibility that online content may have influenced the actions of the suspects.

Paraiso stated that the restriction is intended to provide investigators with time to determine whether there is any connection between the game and the shooting. He added that authorities are also increasing efforts to monitor digital platforms and online spaces that may expose young users to potentially harmful content.

The agency emphasized that protecting children and ensuring their safety online remains a top priority. Officials said they would continue evaluating online environments that could contribute to risky or violent behavior among minors.

The shooting occurred at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City, where two teenagers allegedly entered a classroom and opened fire. The attack resulted in the deaths of three students and shocked communities across the country.

Police reported that one suspect was arrested shortly after the incident, while the second later surrendered to authorities. Investigators revealed that the teenagers were armed with a .38-calibre revolver and a 9mm pistol. The pistol reportedly belonged to a police officer who is related to one of the suspects and has since been taken into custody as part of the investigation.

According to police accounts, the two teenagers entered the classroom and immediately began shooting without any warning or verbal exchange. Authorities are still working to determine whether the victims were specifically targeted or whether the attack was more random in nature.
