The Election Commission of Pakistan has officially announced the results of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections. Notifications have been issued for 21 out of 24 constituencies.
According to the results, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) emerged as the leading party by winning 9 seats. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured 6 seats, while the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) won 4 seats. The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) gained 1 seat, and 1 seat went to an independent candidate.
The Election Commission stated that results for GBLA-9 Skardu-3, GBLA-17 Diamer-3, and GBLA-15 Diamer-1 will be announced later.

Several constituencies have also confirmed individual winners. PPP candidates won in GBLA-1 Gilgit-1, GBLA-4 Nagar-1, GBLA-5 Nagar-2, GBLA-6 Hunza, GBLA-7 Skardu-1, GBLA-10 Skardu-4, GBLA-11 Kharmang, GBLA-12 Shigar, and GBLA-19 Ghizer-1. PML-N candidates won in GBLA-2 Gilgit-2, GBLA-13 Astore-1, GBLA-14 Astore-2, GBLA-18 Diamer-4, GBLA-20 Ghizer-2, and GBLA-22 Ghanche-1.
The IPP secured victories in GBLA-16 Diamer-2, GBLA-21 Ghizer-3, GBLA-23 Ghanche-2, and GBLA-24 Ghanche-3. The MWM won GBLA-8 Skardu-2, while an independent candidate succeeded in GBLA-3 Gilgit-3.
On women’s reserved seats, PPP candidates Kulsoom Jahangir, Saadia Danish, and Sobia Jabeen were declared successful. PML-N’s Sajida Begum and Jennifer Bahadur also won seats, while IPP’s Dilshad Bano secured a reserved seat.
For technocrat seats, PPP’s Muhammad Sharif, PML-N’s Sahib Khan, and IPP’s Muhammad Ali were officially notified as winners.
Overall, the formation of the government in Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to take time as political parties begin negotiations for coalition arrangements.
