People reported that Harry is considering several projects to commemorate Diana’s life and legacy and has contacted family members and friends connected to her. A documentary is among the possibilities, but no project has been finalized or confirmed.
RadarOnline separately reported that Harry is upset over an alleged plan by his brother, Prince William, to potentially restore Diana’s style of Her Royal Highness (HRH). The report cited unnamed sources and said no such plan had been officially announced.
Diana lost the HRH style after her 1996 divorce from then-Prince Charles and was thereafter known as Diana, Princess of Wales. The Royal Family’s official website confirms that the divorce agreement meant she would no longer use the style “Her Royal Highness”.
RadarOnline quoted an unnamed source as saying Harry could make a documentary, give interviews and highlight Diana’s humanitarian work, while William’s position as heir to the throne gave him a different kind of influence.
The source also claimed Harry would regard a restoration of Diana’s HRH style as a more lasting tribute than a television programme.
Another unnamed source quoted by RadarOnline said Harry would not want tributes to Diana to become a competition between the brothers, but would be frustrated if William’s actions overshadowed his own efforts.
