A video reportedly recorded in Dubai has circulated on social media in which the foreign woman says Ahmed Tanveer did not harm or force her. She also claims that she was prevented from appearing before a Pakistani court that her passport was taken and that she was placed on the Exit Control List before being deported against her wishes. She reportedly says she has forgiven the accused and does not want her identity disclosed.
However, investigative sources cited by the publication allege that the video was arranged after the woman’s departure from Pakistan and that she was paid Rs20 million to record it. These claims have not been independently established in the supplied report.
Lahore DIG Investigation Zeeshan Asghar reportedly described the video as an attempt to influence the case. He argued that the woman’s statement recorded before a judicial magistrate under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure remains part of the evidence.
Chief Minister’s allegations and court proceedings
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif posted on social media that the victim had allegedly been offered between Rs15 million and Rs20 million to withdraw her earlier statement. She also alleged that the judge who granted bail had been bribed insisting that justice should not depend on wealth or influence.
Meanwhile an order dated October 23 by Additional Sessions Judge Rafaqat Ali Gondal reportedly granted the accused interim relief while directing further proceedings. According to the report police officials told the court that no other FIR was pending against the petitioner and that he would not be arrested in another case. The accused subsequently joined the investigation inside the courtroom.
The court fixed October 27 for further investigation-related proceedings and arguments on whether bail should be confirmed. Interim bail is not a final determination of guilt or a guarantee that bail will be confirmed.

In a separate case involving allegations of abduction and torture Tanveer, his brother Ehtesham and another suspect were reportedly identified by complainants. The court ordered a 14-day judicial remand and directed authorities to complete the identification parade. The suspects are to be produced again on November 9.
