Two disturbing incidents in Punjab have raised concerns about student safety violence against educators and the handling of complaints by law enforcement agencies. Documents obtained by Minute Mirror in a Sargodha school abuse investigation reportedly record physical injuries while a separate case in Nowshera Virkan Gujranwala involves a female tuition teacher who alleges she was assaulted after demanding unpaid fees.
According to the report a written application submitted to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kot Sher Khan Police Station on October 23, 2026 alleged that a government school student, Hafiz Ataullah had been assaulted by a teacher.
The complainant claimed that the child was beaten over a dispute involving tuition fees and was subsequently warned against disclosing the incident. The family requested police intervention and legal action.
Minute Mirror also obtained a medico-legal certificate from THQ Hospital Sargodha. The document records two reddish bruises on the right arm and front of the chest of a 22-year-old man. The medical opinion classified the injuries as simple hurt caused by a blunt object, with the examination indicating that they were sustained within four hours.
However, the supplied medical certificate identifies the injured person as Ayub a 22-year-old waiter rather than the child named in the complaint. The relationship between the two documents therefore requires clarification before the medical findings can be attributed to the alleged school incident.
The broader investigation concerns allegations that a government schoolteacher recorded inappropriate videos involving children. Police reportedly arrested the teacher and sent his mobile phone to the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) in Lahore for examination. The analysis is expected to help investigators establish the extent of the alleged recording and whether any material was shared electronically.
In a separate incident reported from Nowshera Virkan a female tuition teacher has alleged that a student’s father entered her home and assaulted her after she requested payment of outstanding tuition fees.
According to the account provided the man verbally abused the tutor and allegedly struck both her and her mother when the older woman intervened. The report further claims that the teacher’s clothes were torn during the confrontation and that neighbours gathered after hearing the disturbance.
The woman subsequently received medical treatment and obtained a medico-legal report before approaching Nowshera Virkan Police Station with her family.
The family alleges that although police received their application no first information report (FIR) was registered and they were sent home after spending the day at the station. They have also claimed that the accused continued to threaten them.
The allegations of police inaction, intimidation and assault have not been independently verified in the supplied material. The family is appealing to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and senior police officials for an investigation legal action and protection.

The two cases highlight different concerns within Punjab’s education environment: allegations of abuse involving a schoolteacher and claims that a private tutor was assaulted while seeking payment for her work.

The Sargodha investigation requires a clear account of the evidence including the relationship between the complaint and the medical certificate. In Gujranwala the allegations call for an impartial inquiry into the reported assault the family’s claims about police handling and the alleged threats.
Both cases underscore the importance of protecting children and educators investigating complaints fairly and ensuring that victims can seek legal remedies without intimidation.
