Rihanna hints at at least 170 unreleased songs

Pop star Rihanna has suggested she has at least 170 unreleased songs in her archives, offering fans a glimpse of her music collection nearly 11 years after the release of her last studio album.

Pop star Rihanna has suggested she has at least 170 unreleased songs in her archives, offering fans a glimpse of her music collection nearly 11 years after the release of her last studio album.

The singer made the remark during a TikTok livestream for her Fenty Beauty brand earlier this month, when she was asked how many unreleased songs she had recorded.

Holding up a box of Fenty Beauty products, she said: “If there are 10 products in a vault, then I have at least 17 vaults.”

The comparison suggests a total of at least 170 songs, based on 10 items per vault, although Rihanna did not give an exact number. She also did not say when any of the music might be released.

Fans responded enthusiastically online, with one commenting: “Release Em Ri!”

Rihanna’s last studio album, Anti, was released in January 2016 and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Since then, she has released music sporadically, including “Lift Me Up” for the 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and “Friend of Mine” for the Smurfs soundtrack.

In recent years, the singer has also focused on expanding her Fenty beauty and fashion businesses and raising her three children with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky.

Rocky said in August, during an appearance on The Jason Lee Show, that Rihanna was “in the studio right now” and “cooking”, suggesting she was working on new music. “Sorry, babe,” he added.
