Saadia Sadaf Gilani appointed FBR intelligence chief

Saadia Sadaf Gilani, a BS-22 officer of the Inland Revenue Service, has been appointed director general of the Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue).

ISLAMABAD: Saadia Sadaf Gilani, a BS-22 officer of the Inland Revenue Service, has been appointed director general of the Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue).

Gilani, who was serving as a member at FBR headquarters in Islamabad, will assume charge of her new post on Oct. 1, according to a notification.

Aqeel Ahmed Siddiqui, a BS-21 officer of the Inland Revenue Service, has been posted as member (Administration/HR) at FBR headquarters. He will also assume charge of his new post on Oct. 1.

Siddiqui was serving as director general of the Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), the position now assigned to Gilani.

The FBR’s Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue) is responsible for functions including financial investigation, economic and fiscal intelligence, and identifying possible revenue losses.
