Safety tips for bottle cleaning

Stainless steel water bottles are widely used in everyday life.  People often use them not only for water but also for hot drinks such as tea and coffee.

However with regular use stains unpleasant smells and drink residue can build up inside the bottle especially around the bottom, lid and rubber seal.

Simply rinsing the bottle with water may not be enough. Regular deep cleaning can help keep it fresh and clean for daily use.

Clean it with baking soda

Baking soda can help remove stains and unpleasant smells from stainless steel bottles. Add one tablespoon of baking soda to some lukewarm water and pour the mixture into the bottle. Leave it for a few hours then wash the bottle thoroughly with clean water.

Try white vinegar for tough stains

White vinegar can be useful when the bottle has old residue or stubborn stains. Mix equal amounts of white vinegar and lukewarm water and pour the mixture into the bottle.

Leave it for about 20 to 30 minutes then rinse the bottle well with clean water to remove the vinegar smell.

Use Lemon and salt

Lemon and salt can also help freshen the bottle and loosen some stains. Add some lemon juice and a small amount of salt to the bottle. Close it and gently shake it then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Don’t forget the lid and rubber seal

Cleaning only the bottle is not enough. Dirt and moisture can collect inside the lid and around the rubber seal.

Remove the lid and wash it separately with lukewarm soapy water. Pay extra attention to small gaps and the rubber seal.

Let the bottle dry properly

After washing, avoid closing the bottle while it is still wet. Leave it open until the inside is completely dry. Keeping a damp bottle closed can allow moisture and unpleasant smells to build up.

Make cleaning regular habit

If you use a stainless steel bottle every day make regular cleaning part of your routine. Clean the bottle, lid and rubber seal properly and allow everything to dry completely before storing it.

These simple steps can help keep your bottle cleaner fresher and more pleasant to use.
