A scuffle broke out among several people accompanying Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s convoy during his visit to Shikarpur on Friday briefly causing disorder during his four-day tour of Sindh.

According to the details available a few people accompanying the convoy exchanged blows. The situation was brought under control after others intervened and separated those involved.

Sohail Afridi arrived in Shikarpur on the second day of his four-day visit to Sindh. His convoy also passed through Jacobabad, where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers and supporters reportedly welcomed him at several locations.

Addressing supporters during his visit, the KP chief minister said Sindh had not disappointed him in the past and expressed appreciation for the large number of people who had come out to welcome him.

He described the public turnout as a sign of strong support and thanked workers and supporters for their reception during his Sindh tour.

Following his engagements in the area Sohail Afridi’s convoy departed from Garhi Yasin towards Shahdadkot as the tour continued.

The brief scuffle did not disrupt the chief minister’s scheduled activities and the people involved were reportedly separated by those present at the scene.

Sohail Afridi’s visit to Sindh is taking place as part of a four-day political tour during which he is meeting party workers and supporters in different areas of the province.

The visit has attracted considerable attention, particularly because of the gatherings and receptions organized by supporters along the convoy’s route.
