Private Hajj package deadline set for Nov 20

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced November 20 as the final deadline for pilgrims opting for the private Hajj scheme to select their packages and complete the required payments.

According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, sixteen standard Hajj packages have been finalized for the upcoming pilgrimage season under the private scheme. The packages range from Rs1.4 million to Rs3.75 million, providing pilgrims with different options based on their budget and travel preferences.

The private Hajj scheme includes a range of facilities, including shorter-duration pilgrimage packages, direct flights for overseas pilgrims and premium five-star Hajj arrangements.

Butt said most licensed Hajj organiser companies had already uploaded details of their packages on the ministry’s digital portal, allowing prospective pilgrims to review available options before making their selection.

The spokesperson advised pilgrims to exercise caution while making payments and stressed that all package selections and transactions should be completed exclusively through the official Hajj Portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application.

He warned that the ministry would not accept responsibility for any financial loss resulting from payments made directly to an individual or a Hajj organising company outside the designated official channels.

Under the private Hajj scheme, 71,684 seats have been allocated for this year. The ministry has also retained the authority to redistribute any portion of the quota that remains unutilised after the November 20 deadline.
