Sessions court on Monday dismissed the interim pre-arrest bail petition of the Station House Officer (SHO) of Defence-C Police Station, Farhad, in a case involving allegations of intimidating a judicial magistrate during proceedings related to the alleged kidnapping and rape of two foreign women.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Quddus heard the matter. The court dismissed the SHO’s interim bail petition for non-prosecution after he failed to appear before the court despite having been granted interim relief until the date of hearing.
The case stems from an FIR registered against SHO Farhad at Mustafa Abad Police Station. According to the prosecution, the police officer allegedly visited the residence of a judicial magistrate and threatened him in connection with the investigation into the alleged kidnapping and rape of two foreign women.
The FIR further alleges that the SHO unlawfully entered the magistrate’s residence late at night, violating the sanctity and privacy of the home. The court had earlier issued notices and sought a report from Mustafa Abad Police Station regarding the allegations.
Following the SHO’s non-appearance at the hearing, the court dismissed his interim bail petition, allowing the investigation to proceed in accordance with the law.
