She made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the 9th International Digital Printing & Signage Exhibition at the Expo Centre in Lahore.
Seth said rapid adoption of digital technologies and creative solutions was transforming the printing and signage sector and creating new opportunities for businesses to develop innovative products, expand operations and compete in both domestic and international markets.
She described the exhibition as a reflection of the sector’s entrepreneurial potential and growing willingness to adopt modern technologies and new business models.
Referring to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of inclusive and sustainable economic growth, Seth said SMEDA, under the guidance of Prime Minister’s Adviser on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, was working to build a business environment where MSMEs could formalise their operations, expand and improve their competitiveness.
She highlighted several SMEDA initiatives aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, including the SME Registration Portal, improved access to finance, digital adoption, better product quality and standards, and greater access to domestic and international markets.
The SMEDA chief said the sector’s next phase of development would require closer cooperation between government institutions, industry associations, technology providers, financial institutions and businesses.
She said stronger partnerships could help identify challenges faced by printing and signage businesses, develop practical solutions and enable small enterprises to become more productive, competitive and sustainable.
CEO Fakt Exhibitions Saleem Tanoli said the exhibition brought together leading industry players, technology providers, manufacturers, distributors and entrepreneurs under one platform. He said the event provided participants with opportunities to explore new technologies, products and business prospects.
Earlier, office-bearers of the All Pakistan Outdoor Advertisers Association welcomed the SMEDA chief executive at the exhibition. They said the participation of local and international companies demonstrated growing confidence in Pakistan’s printing and signage market.
The association representatives expressed hope that the exhibition would help create new business partnerships, promote technology transfer and open further avenues for investment and collaboration.
A large number of participating entrepreneurs displayed modern printing technologies, digital solutions and innovative products, providing visitors and industry professionals with an opportunity to explore the latest developments in the rapidly evolving sector.
