According to reports, Afridi climbed onto the police vehicle after his convoy arrived at the location. He told those present that he was not causing trouble and claimed that he was instead being subjected to pressure.

“I am not troubling anyone; I am the one being troubled,” Afridi said.

The KP chief minister also demanded the release of his party workers saying he would not move forward until they were freed.

Afridi reportedly refused to get down from the prison van after entering it.

As the situation continued police personnel eventually drove the vehicle away with the chief minister inside.

The incident occurred as Afridi’s convoy reached Regal Chowk amid heightened political activity in Lahore.

His remarks focused on the release of PTI workers, while the circumstances surrounding the police vehicle and his subsequent departure remained a major point of attention.

The development comes amid continuing political tensions involving PTI and its supporters, with several related legal and political developments reported across the country.

Authorities have also taken action in separate proceedings involving PTI leaders, including orders concerning the passports of Afridi and other party lawmakers.
