Two-day Pakistan school summit ends in Karachi with 16,322 students

The Pakistan School Summit 2026 concluded successfully at the Expo Centre Karachi after a two-day event, attracting 16,322 students 183 schools, 237 principals, 713 teachers and 4,312 parents from across the country.

According to a press release issued by the summit administration the event featured 48 activities and interactive experiences covering education, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, STEM, coding, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), careers, creativity and school leadership.

The summit was inaugurated by Brigadier Yaqoob Awan, Sector Commander ISPR Sindh. The Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force also participated giving students an opportunity to learn about career options, opportunities and responsibilities within the defence sector.

Instead of a traditional conference format, the Pakistan School Summit provided students with hands-on and interactive learning experiences. The 48 activities included AI, robotics, STEM, coding, drone technology, VR/AR, gaming, financial literacy, health and wellbeing creative activities, inclusive education, career guidance and emerging technologies.

The activities were designed not only to introduce students to new technologies but also to encourage them to experiment, ask questions, compete and learn through practical experiences.

Special training and capacity-building sessions were also held for teachers and principals, focusing on modern teaching methods, digital technology school leadership and the changing needs of future schools.

Organizers said participants were also provided with Google Pro accounts worth around $380, giving education professionals access to digital tools and professional resources.

During the summit, memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth more than Rs480 million were signed between schools, educational institutions and technology partners. Organizers said the agreements would create new opportunities for future collaboration and technological development in the education sector.

The two-day summit concluded with the Pakistan School Awards 2026, which received more than 800 nominations. Happy Palace and The Academy jointly received the “School of the Year Karachi” award while Arfa Iftikhar of The City School and Mustafa Hakeemuddin Najmi of MSB Educational Institute were named “Principals of the Year.”
