81 govt schools score zero in Rawalpindi Board exams

The results of the Rawalpindi Board’s matric examinations have raised serious concerns after 81 government schools recorded a zero per cent pass rate in the Class 9 examinations.

The disappointing results have prompted questions about the quality of education in government schools, with the situation raising concern over how Pakistan can progress if students continue to face such academic setbacks.

Officials have decided to take action against the heads of government schools that recorded a zero per cent result.

According to officials, a total of 184 schools under the Rawalpindi Board recorded a zero per cent result in the Class 9 examinations.

Among the government schools reporting zero per cent results, Rawalpindi district ranked first, Attock second and Chakwal third, according to officials.

The authorities are now expected to review the performance of the schools and take disciplinary action against the heads responsible for the poor results.
