Muzaffargarh tops DG Khan Board’s Class 9 results

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Muzaffargarh has secured the top position among districts in the Class 9 annual examination 2026 results announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dera Ghazi Khan.

The district recorded a 55.99% pass rate, placing it ahead of all other districts under the board.

BISE Dera Ghazi Khan Chairman Professor Dr Abdul Rauf formally announced the results of the Class 9 (SSC Part-I) first annual examination 2026. Board Secretary Abdul Rehman Chaudhry and Controller of Examinations Professor Muhammad Muzaffar Hussain were also present on the occasion.

According to board officials, a total of 106,001 candidates appeared in the examination, while 51,081 students were declared successful. The overall pass percentage stood at 48.18%.

Female students performed significantly better than male students. The pass rate among girls was 56.19%, compared with 41.22% among boys.

In the district-wise ranking, Muzaffargarh secured first place with a 55.99% pass rate. Taunsa stood second with 53.67%, followed by Kot Addu in third place with 50.29%.

Layyah ranked fourth with a 48.61% pass rate, while Dera Ghazi Khan secured fifth position with 40.78%. Rajanpur remained sixth with a pass percentage of 35.07%.

The board said female students generally demonstrated stronger performance across different examination groups. Students also recorded notable results in various disciplines, including science, computer science, health sciences and agricultural sciences.

Muzaffargarh’s first position in the district-wise results has sparked celebrations among students, parents and teachers. Educational circles in the district expressed satisfaction over the students’ performance and described the achievement as a positive sign for education in the region.
