Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq has responded to fellow artist Jawad Ahmad’s political ambitions in a light and humorous manner. He made the remarks during a recent appearance on a private television program.

During the show, he was asked about Jawad Ahmad’s claim that if he comes into power, a worker’s salary would equal one tola of gold. Abrar-ul-Haq smiled and said he simply enjoys listening to such statements.

He added that he takes these remarks in a light-hearted way. He did not express any serious criticism and appeared amused by the claims.

He was also asked about Jawad Ahmad’s statement that he is “Pakistan’s last hope.” In response, Abrar-ul-Haq laughed and said that anyone can make such claims and there is no issue in saying so.

The discussion also turned towards journalist Iqrar-ul-Hassan’s possible entry into politics. Abrar-ul-Haq said that new individuals should enter politics and there is nothing wrong with it.

He stated that forming a political party is every citizen’s democratic right. He added that the public has the right to accept or reject any political party.

He further said that young people should be given opportunities in politics. According to him, their voices and opinions should be encouraged and heard.

In a humorous comment, he jokingly said in Punjabi that a person who can manage three wives might also be able to manage a nation. He made the remark in a light tone, keeping the discussion informal and entertaining.
