New York: Apple has confirmed that it is working on a fix for a software bug affecting some newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max users.
The issue appeared shortly after the phones went on sale, with some users reporting problems while unlocking their devices.
Face ID Failure Can freeze the Phone
According to reports the problem occurs when Face ID fails to unlock the phone. In some cases the device becomes unresponsive for a few seconds with the touchscreen no longer responding.
The iPhone may then unexpectedly shut down and restart on its own.
Fix coming With iOS 27 Update
Apple has said that it is working on a solution and plans to fix the issue through an upcoming iOS 27 software update. The company has not yet explained what causes the face ID-related bug.
