One of the night’s biggest highlights came when Drake joined the Backstreet Boys for a sing-along to their 1999 hit “I Want It That Way.” Videos of the performance circulated on social media, with fans delighted to see the hip-hop superstar enthusiastically singing one of pop music’s most recognisable anthems.
The collaboration created a nostalgic moment, bringing together different generations of music in an unexpected setting. The Backstreet Boys’ appearance quickly became one of the most talked-about elements of the celebration.
The festivities reportedly included luxury designer gifts, with Chanel and Hermès bags among the items given to guests. A game show-style activity also added excitement to the evening, with reported cash prizes reaching as high as $1 million.
Beyond the extravagant arrangements, Drake reportedly offered a personal reflection that focused on life and the importance of staying alive, rather than his music career or future projects.
The sentiment added a more thoughtful dimension to a night otherwise defined by celebrity appearances and lavish entertainment.
Over the years, Drake has built a global following through his blend of hip-hop, R&B and pop. His milestone birthday reflected that broad musical influence, with the Backstreet Boys providing a memorable connection to an earlier era of chart-topping pop.
While the designer gifts and reported million-dollar prizes highlighted the scale of the celebration, it was Drake singing alongside the legendary boy band that ultimately captured the internet’s imagination.
