The girl, a resident of Sultan Colony, had gone missing on June 4 after leaving home. Her family stated that she was a first-year student and had gone out to collect her roll number slip when she disappeared. Following her disappearance, her relatives launched a search and also registered a case of abduction at the local police station.
After several days, the family was informed that the girl had been admitted to a private hospital in critical condition. When they reached the facility, they were told that she had already been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Jhang for further treatment.
Medical staff confirmed that she remained under treatment throughout the night, but her condition continued to deteriorate. Despite medical efforts, she could not survive and passed away during treatment.
Police officials stated that the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination report is completed. They added that all possible aspects of the case are being investigated to understand the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and subsequent death.
