LOS ANGELES: K-pop girl group KATSEYE has been forced to withdraw from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival after member Megan sprained her ankle during a rehearsal.
The group will no longer perform at the all-girls festival this weekend after Megan suffered the injury while rehearsing for the group’s tour.
Megan addressed the decision on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, August 27, expressing regret over missing the festival.
“We’re so sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields. Yesterday I sprained my ankle during tour rehearsal and my doctors have advised me to stay off it and let it heal so I can be ready for tour,” Megan wrote.
She continued, “I’m heartbroken to miss Daisy Chain Fields, especially because of everything this festival stands for.”
What is Daisy Chain Fields about?
KATSEYE was among the many acts scheduled to perform at Daisy Chain Fields in Irvine on Saturday, alongside Mitski, Chappell Roan, Doechii and Olivia Rodrigo.
Rodrigo founded the festival this year as a charitable endeavour, with net proceeds going to several non-profit organisations, including Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights and Baby2Baby.
“I’m sending all my love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special. It’s going to be such an amazing day; and I can’t wait to see everyone out on tour,” Megan said.
Megan’s injury is the latest setback for KATSEYE during a challenging few months for the group.

Fellow member Manon went on hiatus from the group in February to “focus on her health and well-being.”
