The Wednesday star took to Instagram on Monday, September 14, to share several photos, including a striking selfie and a close-up image of a white horse.

The photos were shared shortly after the 2026 Emmy Awards, which Ortega did not attend.
While thousands of fans praised the actress and her new photos, the image of the horse prompted concern among some of her followers, who questioned the animal’s apparent condition.
One user commented: “I’m sorry… WTF is this and why is everyone acting so nonchalant about it? Do we see the state of that animal?”
Another wrote: “Girl, now why you posting hurt animals? TF.”
“Just about to say, what’s with the poor animal,” a third user commented.
One follower suggested the animal could have a skin condition, writing: “I think that mule has mites and needs treatment etc. for everyone asking. E.g. patches of fur missing around the inflamed skin. It’s uncomfortable.”
“Why is the horse bleeding?” another user asked.
The reactions come amid ongoing public interest in Ortega’s health, although the actress has not indicated that the photos are connected to any health issue.
