Karachi call centre raided, 70 held over alleged fraud against foreigners

KARACHI: The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has raided a call centre in Karachi’s PECHS Block 6 and arrested 70 people over their alleged involvement in fraudulent activities targeting foreign nationals.

According to NCCIA sources, the raid was conducted following information about suspected illegal operations being carried out from the premises. The individuals taken into custody are allegedly linked to a network involved in defrauding foreign citizens through the call centre.

Officials also seized equipment and other material from the premises during the operation. The arrested suspects are being questioned as part of an ongoing investigation, while further details are expected as the inquiry progresses.
