Kashmir Caravan rally sets out to Muzaffarabad on Defence Day

ISLAMABAD: A Kashmir Caravan car rally was organised from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad on Sunday to mark Defence and Martyrs’ Day and express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The rally was organised by the World Kashmir Forum and brought together participants from different walks of life. The event aimed to highlight the Kashmir issue, reaffirm support for the Kashmiri people and promote a message of peace, unity and national solidarity.

Participants began their journey from the Victory Monument in Islamabad, carrying the national flags of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir as they travelled towards Muzaffarabad.

As part of the commemorative activities, the participants visited the Martyrs’ Memorial to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the defence of Pakistan and Kashmir. Special programmes were also held to honour the martyrs and remember their contributions.

Rally participants expressed their appreciation for Field Marshal Asim Munir, thanking him for what they described as his role in raising Pakistan’s national pride.

World Kashmir Forum Secretary Finance Rafiq Suleman said the rally reflected the Kashmiri people’s continued commitment to freedom and their solidarity with Pakistan.

He said the event was also intended to honour the martyrs of September 6 and the people of Kashmir who had sacrificed their lives during the struggle for freedom.
