Kevin Federline is facing a $117,704 lawsuit from City National Bank over alleged unpaid debts, months after his child support payments from ex-wife Britney Spears ended.
The lawsuit reportedly involves outstanding balances on a credit card, a personal line of credit and an overdraft facility, with additional interest also being claimed.
Federline previously received $40,000 per month in child support while raising the former couple’s sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The amount was later reduced to $20,000 before payments ended after both sons reached adulthood and completed high school.
In his memoir, You Thought You Knew, Federline explained that the money helped cover security and expenses associated with maintaining his children’s lifestyle. He claimed their monthly costs often exceeded $40,000.
Spears and Federline finalised their divorce in 2007. Their child support arrangement has now concluded, while the reported bank dispute adds another financial development to Federline’s life.
