ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that India’s attempt to disturb peace in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has failed.
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament House, he alleged that certain elements operating in Kashmir are acting on India’s instructions and are ignoring the sacrifices made in Azad Kashmir.
He said the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir continue to face oppression, and its leadership has spent years in prisons. He added that there is a long history of sacrifices by Kashmiris on the other side of the Line of Control.
Khawaja Asif also referred to a recent incident in Bannu, where two explosions killed seven people and injured three others. He expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives.
