Kim Kardashian’s reality show began as a joke

Kim Kardashian has revealed that her latest reality television project started as a simple joke between friends before eventually becoming a full-fledged show.

The new series, Team Moms: Baseball, brings together Kardashian and fellow executive producer Natalie Ento. The two came up with the idea while spending time together on sports trips involving their children.

Kardashian explained that she and Ento regularly take their children on sports-related trips. During one such trip to Spain around three years ago, Ento returned from the sidelines with stories about the behaviour of parents at youth sporting events.

According to Kardashian, Ento described the intense atmosphere around the games and the passionate reactions of some parents. The two friends began joking about how those situations could provide material for an entertaining reality show.

What started as casual conversation soon developed into a serious television concept. Kardashian and Ento eventually presented the idea to networks, where it quickly attracted interest.

The friends initially considered several sports for the series. Soccer and basketball were among the options because of their children’s interests. They ultimately decided to focus on baseball, giving the project its final format.

Ento’s relationship with Kardashian also goes back several years. Their friendship began through their children, who attended preschool together. The families gradually became close, and the children developed a strong friendship of their own.

Ento said their connection was initially built around their children. Despite coming from very different backgrounds, the two women found common ground through motherhood and their shared experiences as parents.

The upcoming reality series aims to explore the world of youth baseball from the perspective of mothers. It is expected to feature the emotional moments, intense competition and sometimes humorous situations that surround young athletes and their families.

Kardashian has already established herself as one of the most recognisable figures in reality television. With Team Moms: Baseball, she is now exploring another format built around family life, parenting and competitive youth sports.

The series premiered on Paramount+ on September 24, giving viewers an inside look at the lives of baseball families and the dynamics among the parents supporting their children.
